Turmeric

Turmeric powder, the golden spice of India, adds vibrant color, unique flavor, and a wealth of health benefits to dishes. This earthy and slightly bitter spice is a staple in curries, dals, and various vegetable preparations. It is also used as a marinade for meat and in pickling fruits and vegetables.

Turmeric has a warm, bitter taste and is frequently used to flavor or color curry powders, mustards, butters, and cheeses. Because curcumin and other chemicals in turmeric might decrease swelling, it is often used to treat conditions that involve pain and inflammation.

Turmeric Quality Standards
Our turmeric is carefully harvested, processed, and packaged to retain its natural properties. The quality parameters we adhere to include:
Curcumin Content: We offer turmeric with high curcumin levels, which is the main compound responsible for its medicinal properties. Standard curcumin levels range from 2% to 5%, with premium grades offering 6% or higher.
Moisture Content: Low moisture content is crucial for long shelf life and maintaining quality. We ensure that our turmeric has a moisture content of less than 12%.
Appearance: Our turmeric roots and powder boast a bright, golden-yellow color, indicative of freshness and high curcumin content.
Free from Adulterants: Our turmeric is 100% pure, with no added colors, chemicals, or preservatives.

Turmeric Grades
Turmeric is graded based on the physical characteristics of the fingers (turmeric rhizomes) and the curcumin content. Here are the common grades we export:
    Whole Turmeric or Finger Turmeric
Long, slender turmeric rhizomes that are considered the highest quality for export. Fingers are typically graded by length, thickness, and color.
Alleppey Finger: Known for its bright color and high curcumin content (above 4%).
Erode Finger: From the Erode region, this turmeric is highly valued for its medicinal properties and vibrant color.
Madras Finger: Preferred for its mild flavor, lower curcumin content (around 2–3%), and brighter color.
Nizamabad Bulbs: Smaller, bulbous rhizomes often used in various food preparations.
    Turmeric Powder
Premium Grade: Turmeric powder with 3.5% to 5% curcumin content, ensuring a rich yellow color and potent aroma. This is ideal for culinary, medicinal, and cosmetic use.
Commercial Grade: Contains 2% to 3.5% curcumin, suited for general use in food processing and everyday cooking.
Organic Turmeric Powder: Sourced from certified organic farms, free from pesticides and chemicals, maintaining the highest purity standards.
Processing & Packaging
We follow stringent processing and packaging standards to maintain the quality of our turmeric:
